V. Rev. Fr. Nicholas Johnson
RECTOR OF ST HERMAN ORTHODOX CHURCH; LITTLETON, CO
Fr. Nicholas has spent virtually his whole life serving Christ in one way or another. Raised in La Junta, Colorado, his family was very invested in (Protestant) Christian ministry in the Arkansas Valley.
In his teens, his family moved to Michigan to serve as US-based missionaries, and it was there that the call to dedicate his life to the Lord took root. After he and his wife were married, they looked for an opportunity to devote their married lives in service to Christ, which resulted in their moving to Colorado Springs in 2011 to be US-based missionaries at a evangelical missions agency (Reach Beyond), where Fr. Nicholas filled various roles in their IT Department.
Through various circumstances in the years that followed, their hearts were gradually softened and opened to the truth of the Orthodox faith, and in 2020, he and his wife and children were received into the Orthodox Church.
A couple of years later, he was called by the Church to pursue the priestly ministry, and he and his family moved to Pennsylvania to attend St. Tikhon’s Orthodox Theological Seminary. He graduated in 2025 and was then assigned to St. Herman’s Orthodox Church.
